Chef Ping in Rolling Meadows makes my favorite King Mushroom Tofu dish. Pair it with Pong Pong Chicken and Noodles with Black Bean Sauce / JjaJjaMien (sp?). Their Szechuan Eggplant and ChamPong Seafood Noodle Soup are excellent as well! Large room in the back available for private parties.

SERIOUS SANJI-Dumplings & Dim Sum in Northbrook is almost 1 year old! The crab and pork soup dumplings are great, but messy! The pork sanji, beef noodle soup, dandan noodles, and chili chicken were great as well. Not pictured, garlic shanghai green (veggie similar to bok choi, very tasty!). They offer anniversary specials starting 9/21.

It’s been a minute since we’ve been to Garcia’s Restaurant in Lincoln Square. The 3 tacos plates had a ton of meat/protein! Chips and Salsa, Steak torta & Horchata not pictured. We’ll be back again soon for sure, though after Oktoberfest ends cuz parking and crowds.

Lunch at TAVA Indian Restaurant and Bar always hits the spot. Tandoori Chicken, Bhindi Masala (okra), Chicken Makhani, Basmati Rice, Garlic Naan, and Carrot Halwa. Everything was excellent!

Minnie Bird Tenders, Minnies, and Wrap Combos for a late lunch in Oak Brook today. Not pictured, Strawberry Shortcake Soft Serve and Twist Soft Serve. 6 different dipping sauces available, self serve.

Finally tried Annie’s Pancake House in Palatine. The Filipino Breakfasts we tried were ShangSiLog (lumpia shanghai), BangSiLog (bangus fish), and TapSiLog (marinated pork). We also ordered Uber Pancakes and a side of Longanisa (filipino sausage) to share. Everything was delicious except for the garlic fried rice (the crunchy bits were not pieces of fried garlic, but hard rice). Maybe because of the overwhelming Father’s Day crowd - I heard it’s not usually like that. I’ll come back on a non-holiday. There were a ton of staff members who were very helpful and respectful. They have a party room available for large groups.
