It’s a saying we’ve been telling the kids for a few years now…. and who knew it is an actual holiday!

Fun Facts: October 13th is National Train Your Brain Day, a day that reminds us of the importance of doing something different to build our brain power. “Exercising the brain is important. Routine activities don’t keep the mind sharp. This day encourages us to expand and exercise our brain and use more of its potential capacity. To do that, we need to break out of our routines and try new activities or relearn old ones. We’ll work on our cognitive skills. To do this, try reading or word puzzles. Number games and brainteasers also improve cognition. Riddles and word games challenge areas of the brain we don’t use every day.”

As we are off to a great start this year, we at Soldon Properties, are taking this month to self-reflect on our 2021 accomplishments, all while looking ahead at what we want to endeavor toward in 2022. The question we have for ourselves this year is “What Motivates Us”? After much thought, we’ve concluded that our motivation is driven by a few ideas we’ve set for ourselves and our family business:

1. Staying committed to learning and growing within the real estate industry.
2. Sharing information on important topics like the issues within the home appraisal process.
3. Exuding great customer service.
4. Making smart and effective business decisions.
5. Taking (calculated) risks.
6. Staying dedicated to our vision of acquiring sound properties within Chicagoland and the surrounding area.
7. Providing quality housing that allows our tenants to feel proud of where they live.
8. Being responsible landlords.

While the list can go on, ultimately we’d like for 2022 to be a prosperous year filled with growth and development on multiple levels. As we wish this for ourselves, we extend this wish to you!
