After 70 years apart and decades of longing, I finally had the chance to bring my mother, Annamaria Sperando (Ballatore), back to her birthplace, Abruzzo, Italy. 🇮🇹
It was a journey filled with hope, uncertainty, and unwavering determination.

Through their tireless efforts and seven months of extensive research, they connected her with relatives who had also been searching for her for years!
They welcomed my mother with open arms.
My mom’s return to Manoppello was celebrated with a heartwarming reunion, including a surprise photograph of her mother—the first time she had ever seen her.
Our heartwarming story of love, loss, hope, and perseverance is a testament to the enduring power of family. Both families’ dedication to finding a missing loved one led to a miraculous reunion that has forever changed our lives❤️🇮🇹
