Help Employees Meet Health/Safety Guidelines and Reduce Spreading Infectious Diseases.

To address the issue of infectious diseases spreading from improper hand washing, SinkTech™ developed the Confirmed Clean™ solution in partnership with Intel and Dr. Sheila Nirenberg. Confirmed Clean uses AI and computer vision technology to detect hand washing, soap use, and how long the employee continues to wash their hands. To engage users, the solution provides gamelike entertainment as it shows the employee their progress. No faces are captured, and hand-washing sessions are anonymous. Check out a live demonstration of SinkTech™ + Confirmed Clean™ in booth #643 at National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show May 21st-24th 2022.

"It only took four months for doctors, nurses, techs and cleaning staff to drop back to a 51.5% daily handwashing compliance rate, according to the study published Monday in JAMA Internal Medicine.
And a nationally representative survey done in January found only 57% of Americans said they were washing their hands six or more times a day -- such as after using the bathroom, before eating or after returning from a trip outside the home."

A handwashing tracking system in a top hospital finds staff failed to keep up with their excellent Covid hand hygiene as the pandemic worn on -- and they were not alone.

TECH FACTS: Actress Hedy Lamarr was also an avid inventor and the person behind advances in communication technology in the 1940s that led to today’s Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth.

As the National Portrait Gallery acquires a film poster of Hedy Lamarr, it’s worth reflecting on her double life as an actress and a pioneering inventor

"Scanners already have been installed in grocery stores like City Farmers Market in Atlanta, which tells customers that anyone registering over 100.4 degrees on a thermal camera “will be discreetly informed” by a staff member and given “an alternative for [their] shopping.”
"Several corporate giants are using multiple layers of temperature scans to more closely pinpoint potential risks. Workers and visitors entering the Wynn Resorts hotels and casinos on the Las Vegas Strip will be monitored by thermal cameras and, if seemingly feverish, taken into a secondary room to be assessed by a no-contact thermometer."

The systems could soon become a widespread staple of public life. But they vary widely in accuracy and performance, and people won't be asked to consent.
