The CTA and Miller Lite will once again offer New Year’s Eve Free Rides on both trains and buses from 10 pm today Saturday, Dec. 31st until 4 am Sunday, January 1st. Customers traveling outside the free ride period can purchase a $5 one-day unlimited ride pass.
The CTA recommends allowing extra travel time and to plan ahead by downloading the Ventra app, to manage Ventura account and use the plan new trip tool.
A possible event to attend is the Navy Pier New Year’s Fire Works Show at midnight.

COVID-19 Vaccinations will be available at the United Center, Madison and Wood st., beginning Tuesday, March 9th. Registration for ages 65 and older begin Thursday, March 4th at 8:30 am at zocdoc.com/vaccine or by calling 312-746-4835. Through a city partnership with Uber 20,000 free rides will be available.

Back-to-School Supply Drive is scheduled for this Sat., Aug. 22, 2-4 pm at Maria Saucedo Scholastic Academy, 2850 W. 24th blvd. Backpacks full of supplies will be given to each child; and personal protective equipment and food to each family who visits the drive.
