We are thrilled to congratulate Raquel, our founder of Environmentalist of Color, and Xochitl on receiving the prestigious George B. Rabb Force of Nature Awards! Since December 2017, they have been at the leading edge of engaging Latinx communities in conservation as volunteer site stewards at Possum Hollow Woods.

Their outstanding leadership and expertise, championed by Raquel's vision, have effectively centered Latinx and BIPOC communities, creating a culture that welcomes both Spanish and English speakers, along with intergenerational families.

Their dedication and hard work are sowing the seeds for a greener and more inclusive future that will be seen for generations to come. Raquel and Xochitl's contributions exemplify the spirit of the George B. Rabb Force of Nature Awards, recognizing individuals who are inspirational examples for others in conservation, restoration, advocacy, and education across our region.

Congratulations once again for this well-deserved honor!
