This week, Missourians voted DOWN the GOP-backed Amendments 4 and 5! APS proudly supported this campaign’s coalition of allied organizations, including our client SEIU Healthcare, with strategic messaging and on-the-ground organizing.

Amendment 4 attempted to overhaul Missouri’s 100-year-old initiative petition process. By beating back Amendment 4, the power to pass common-sense legislation that works for the everyday Missourian was protected.

Amendment 5 proposed increasing sales taxes in exchange for giving billionaires a huge income tax cut. Missourians overwhelmingly shut down this proposal in a display against corporate greed.

These results are proof that working people have real power, and we were so proud to be involved in the campaign!

APS and Associates was pleased to be a part of the Mastercard Small Business Summit, identifying key speakers, small business vendors and executing community outreach to local area chambers and business associations. The attendance was great and the information shared by panelists were useful and mind provoking in helping provide resources for businesses facing new challenges today. Thank you to Jay Norris and the executive team at Mastercard for thinking of us to assist with the pilot event!

Happy Pride, Chicago! 🏳️‍🌈

Team APS was out celebrating at Chicago’s Pride Parade this weekend marching alongside Governor JB Pritzker, Commissioner Lowry, and Attorney General Kwame Raoul as our city came together to celebrate love, identity, and community.

Pride is more than a celebration, it’s a reminder of the decades of courage it took to get here, and a recommitment to keep fighting for equality, visibility, and acceptance for LGBTQ+ people everywhere.

The APS team supported the planning and production of the Midway Plaisance Watch Party, where thousands gathered to celebrate the opening of the Obama Presidential Center.

From recruiting 30 nonprofit organizations and small business vendors for the Art Market & Community Fair to coordinating 20 food truck vendors, our team helped curate an experience that reflected the vibrancy and spirit of the community.

APS Director of Community Engagement , Jarae Hines, and our Summer Fellows - Hailey, Jamya, Olawale, Antonella, and Akil - had the opportunity to witness the joy and excitement of Chicagoans, as well as visitors from across the country and around the world, who came together to be part of this historic moment in the Midway Plaisance!

It was a beautiful day on Thursday at the Obama Presidential Center Dedication Ceremony, and the entire APS team was all hands on deck!
Our team was spread across the event supporting registration and check-in, staffing the Solutions Desk, ushering and greeting throughout the plaza and other seated sections, supporting special guests, and helping guests in the Midway Plaisance.
So proud to work alongside the Obama Foundation team and help support such a meaningful event for our city and country.

We are heartbroken to learn of the passing of Spencer Leak Jr.

We had the honor of working alongside Spencer and his family during the services for Reverend Jesse Jackson. Spencer cared deeply about Reverend Jackson, his family, and the responsibility of helping celebrate such an extraordinary life. He brought professionalism, compassion, and a genuine understanding of the family’s grief to every detail.

What stood out most was his dedication. Spencer took it upon himself to make the long drive from Chicago to South Carolina and participated in countless escorts and processions along the way, ensuring Reverend Jackson was honored with the dignity and respect he deserved every step of the journey.

We know this same care and commitment defined all of Spencer’s work and service to the community. He will be deeply missed by so many. We are grateful to have known him and honored to have worked with him.

Yesterday, team APS got to tour the Obama Presidential Center ahead of its grand opening in June. After years of working alongside the Obama Foundation on their efforts, it was an absolute honor to see the museum and campus come to life.

Our firm is ecstatic to have this 19.3-acre campus on Chicago’s South Side, and we look forward to seeing all of the hope, inspiration, and community it brings to people across our city and around the world.

APS was proud to support the Obama Foundation's Community Meeting this week, where CEO Valerie Jarrett shared exciting details about the Obama Presidential Center's grand opening!
