with Life time Achievement Award from Biz Bash on May 15

Glad you and Jim had a great celebratory time in Chicago but so sorry I missed seeing you two. I though you might stick around for the McHugh Memorial Service and it was extra
special - with so many people we have not see for years!
But Alas, you two headed home so we missed sharing any
happening with you.

Although I normally would have been more aggressive about getting together, am going through some health challenges
that have incapacitated me so can't make every program right now. But IF you two come back our way before the season
whips by, PLEASE let me know as I would love to see you two.
It's been tooooo long between in person exchanges.

and all the fine occasions you two share.

It's been a couple of busy years since my last personal update...but much has happened including the addition of another family member ---another doggie rescue...and because I so believe in adopting needy animals and people...wish to introduce the newest member of my clan..."Matzah Mia" ---see pix taken via cell phone thanks to friend David Aaron. Lots more to share - to follow now that I'm being asked to get on Facebook more often. So Happy New year from the Cohens and we'll check in again soon.

Just heard we lost another dear friend. Looking for information on the service for Frank D'Rone another
super talent. He follows Jimmy Damon, Martha Webster,
Nightime Charlie, Jerry G. Bishop - the list is much too
long. It's heartbreaking as they were all so special.
Now Frank and I would appreciate knowing where his
special memorial services is being held. Heard it will happen
on Sunday afternoon October 13. Hope someone will
get details to all of us. And yes, I will check the obits
again but didn't see those details. Thanks so much
for any information.

Getting ready for Summer Sizzle includes updating our
Web site, which will be ready by June 30th and I'll be
anxious for everyone's input and hopefully new "likes!"

Of course, we had to say so long to our great Bulls team
during the Playoffs but I think everyone has been impressed
with their performances...what great heart, spirit, quality
sportsmanship - and how well they honored Chicago
I know 2013-2014 will be incredibly exciting for all of us who love the Chicago Bulls. PUSA is most fortunate to
be a small part of the production "team" for this incredible
organization.

OK - the sun is shining and hopefully it will continue to
brighten our lives for the season ahead. And here's to
a very special Memorial Day weekend - during which we
can salute all those who have represented our country past and present...and a future which we also hope will bring peace to all who share our global community.
Now off the "band stand" and on to sharing more dreams which can come true!

A lot happening as always, including marching with Cari
Meyers and many others to advocate the closing of all
the Puppy Mills and the campaign to stop people from buying their puppies at pet stores. Hundreds of thousands of little ones - especially the Moms and Pops used for breeding are tortured and killed when they can't produce any more...and of course, all the puppies they conceive are
sent by Puppy Mill owners to pet stores- most of whom are ill and need a lot of medical care - a horrible problem for
the innocent people who buy these little ones - captivated by the joy that comes with adding a loving creature to their families. -Anyway, a lot more awareness was created in Chicago thanks to this March and the marvelous volunteers who dedicated their time and love to join the lineup. A special salute to Cari, as always, for her outstanding efforts.
Now it's on to the Chicago Bulls season, and other super
client projects...and the Chicago Marathon, in which many friends are running for very worthwhile causes such as the Chicago Special Olympics, the Anti Cruelty Society, Paws,
and a hundred other very needy charitable programs. I'll be cheering them all on from the sidelines- If you're around Chicago - please join the efforts- October 7th. Then attend the fabulous Chicago Cabaret Professional great benefit show on October 14th at Park West. Thanks for reading and hope to see you all soon. With best wishes from Barbara Lee
