Happy Labor Day!

The CAIC team was proud to celebrate Labor alongside union members, retirees, and city officials at the Chicago Federation of Labor's Chicago Labor Day Parade!

Our CAIC staff hit the pavement with our very own float as part of the parade lineup. The route started on East 112th Street on Chicago’s historic Southeast Side, the march spotlighted the area’s rich industrial roots and deep connection to the labor movement, carrying the celebration all the way to Steelworkers Park.

We are honored to celebrate the hardworking men and women who built our region's legacy and continue to drive its future.

The Calumet Area Industrial Commission (CAIC) hosted its Annual White Sox Tailgate Outing. We had an incredible turnout bringing together CAIC members and guests from local manufacturing organizations, colleges and universities, and city officials for food, drinks, and great networking in the lot before heading inside.

The energy stayed high all evening with the White Sox's iconic Elvis Night theme—complete with a cadre of Elvis impersonators parachuting straight into the stadium to kick off the pre-game festivities! To top off the evening, the Chicago White Sox delivered a thrilling 6-4 victory over the New York Mets!

Thank you to everyone who came out to tailgate and cheer on the Sox with us.
