This story brought me to tears! I grew up at 633 E. 102nd Place. Most of you know that I didn’t get an opportunity to visit Paris until my 40’s after publishing my first book. This young lady (who’s from the SAME neighborhood where I grew up) is headed to Paris to study fashion! Another reminder that good things come from the South Side! ROSELAND STAND UP‼️

Have you all been to Herbachi on 79th?! It’s owned by the sister of the very awesome Quentin Love (owner of The Soulfood Lounge). You can order a mix of shrimp, chicken, salmon, etc. with a combination of rice or noodles and vegetable medley. I ordered the bourbon chicken today and it was amazing (especially with the yum yum sauce)!

You can also order Korean fried wings. The flavors are strawberry, mango & key lime. Go to “The Nine” and support this new Black owned business. They’ve only been open for three months and are working on building a dining room next door.🔥

Baby! It’s STILL cold outside! So why not head to Logan Square to for a $13 hot chocolate flight?! I ordered Mexican hot chocolate, hazelnut and regular with oat milk. It was amazing! They also have an assortment of chocolate truffles to satisfy your sweet tooth! 😋 🍫
