DAY TO NIGHT • During the day, the lighting quietly blends into the architecture. At night, it transforms the mood of this living room.

We used minimal flangeless recessed fixtures that disappear into the plaster ceiling to illuminate the artwork, in-floor uplights to softly wash the drapery, and unlacquered brass push-button controls that blend seamlessly with the home’s other brass details.

The best lighting doesn’t always announce itself, it simply makes the space feel its best ✨

UPGRADE • Not every lighting improvement requires a gut renovation.

In this project, we preserved the existing recessed lighting locations and focused on upgrading the light source instead. By replacing older bulbs with high-quality LEDs, we created a more cohesive lighting experience between the untouched spaces and the newly renovated areas.

Sometimes the best solution is working with what you already have ✨

SCENES • One of my favorite parts of a project is adjusting the lighting control scenes at the end - like this bathroom’s “Bathe” scene, which instantly dims the uplights and decorative fixtures to create a relaxing, spa-like atmosphere ✨

UPGRADE • We kept the architectural lighting upgrades relatively simple in this family room by replacing the recessed light trims within the existing fixtures and replacing the cove lighting within the existing cove. Sometimes a simple fixture swap is all you need to make a big impact.
