On Monday, August 31st, Sunshine Enterprises is heading to New York City to help ring the Opening Bell at Nasdaq — alongside the 2025 Chicago Innovation Award winners and top supporters of Chicago's innovation community!

On top of this moment celebrating Chicago's growing reputation as a hub for innovation, we're also proud to have earned this award through our Community Micro Equity Fund (CMEF), built to expand access to capital for underrepresented entrepreneurs across Chicago.

After 8 cohorts, 50 businesses funded, and over $750,000 allocated to small businesses, we're so proud to showcase this program's impact one of the world's most iconic stages in New York City.

🎉 This past Saturday, we welcomed 7 new cohorts to our Community Business Academy for orientation at the Gary Comer Youth Center in Greater Grand Crossing on Chicago's South Side!

Our team shared what to expect, what it takes to complete the program, and what's next after CBA, BUT nothing beats the energy of being in a room full of entrepreneurs ready to build something of their own.

After struggling with gum sensitivity and searching for better options for her family, Nicole Sain created TrnscndWellness and Talk Natural Whitening Toothpaste, a sensory-inclusive, fluoride-free toothpaste designed with comfort and wellness in mind.
