Do people still do flashback friday or am I getting old? lol

One of the most important parts of branding is helping clients see their vision beyond a logo.

For Filthy Rich Woman, the goal wasn’t just to create a beautiful logo. It was to create an experience that’s in a world of its own.

A brand should feel consistent whether it’s on a welcome package, a retreat experience, a membership box, luxury stationery, or a private event invitation. When clients can see their brand across multiple touchpoints, they stop making decisions based on a logo and start building an experience people want to be part of.

I’ve been having so much fun with one of my latest projects!

The goal was to create something that felt modern, clean, romantic, and memorable without looking overly traditional or outdated.

A lot of businesses in the wedding industry still rely on branding that feels generic, cluttered, or disconnected from the audience they’re trying to attract.

Whoever told you looks don’t matter lied.

People make decisions about businesses quickly. Not only based on the service itself, but based on how trustworthy and established the business feels online.

And that pause affects more than people realize.

Several years ago, I added someone as a friend online.

Almost immediately after I sent the request, she messaged me.
I still have the message to this day.

She sent one message which quickly turned into a $30,000 deal.

It felt like she'd already been watching my content, paying attention to how I communicated, how I positioned myself, and the kind of work I was putting into the world.

I didn’t have to convince her or chase her down.

Nor did I have to force urgency, perform any sales tactics, or push her into a decision.

I remember sharing with her that I was giggling because this was around the same time I'd made a decision that I truly wanted EASE. So her showing up in my inbox in the way she did was evidence of my desires showing up in real time.

But also...people know when they want to work with you.

When Dr. Jacelyn came to me, she had hardly any web presence, only a psychology today account.

She flew to Chicago, and we worked on her image and later her messaging and pricing strategy, and today she has a gorgeous digital home that attracts consistent leads, clients, and opportunities that she actually wants.

I love looking at businesses that are doing incredible work and imagining what happens when their online presence reflects their brilliance.

If I had to explain branding in it's simplest form here's what I'd say:

Branding is how people feel when they come into contact with your business.

That’s it.

It’s the feeling they get when they land on your website.
When they read your content.
When they look at your photos.
When they hear you speak.
When they interact with your offers.
When they experience your customer service.
When they decide whether or not they trust you.

A lot of people think branding is just logos and colors, but branding is really about perception.

It’s about helping people quickly understand:
who you are,
what you do,
what kind of experience they can expect from you,
and whether or not you feel believable.

Because every business is communicating something whether they realize it or not.

Some brands communicate:
“I’m experienced. You’re in good hands.”

Other brands communicate:
“I threw this together in a weekend and I hope this works.”

And the truth is that people make decisions emotionally first.

They feel your business before they fully analyze it.

That’s why branding matters so much.

A strong brand creates clarity.
It creates trust.
It creates emotional safety.
It creates consistency.
It creates recognition.
And over time, it creates demand.

It helps people feel more confident saying yes to you.

Especially online, where people cannot physically walk into your business and feel your energy in person.

Your brand becomes the room they walk into first.

And when your branding actually reflects your brilliance, people feel that too.

Things start feeling easier.

You spend less time convincing.
Less time over-explaining.
Less time trying to prove your value manually.

Because your business starts communicating that value for you.

That’s branding.

Not just making things pretty (although I do love making things look pretty).
