☀️A great day celebrating sustainability and community impact at the Village of Arlington Heights Public Works Facility Solarbration! ☀️

We were proud to join local leaders, partners, and community members to officially recognize the Village’s new rooftop solar installation and its long-term investment in clean energy and operational savings.

Remarks were shared by Jim Tinaglia, Mayor; Randy Recklaus, Village Manager; Cris Papierniak, Director of Public Works & Engineering; and Chris Gersch, CEO of Verde Solutions.

The new solar system includes 861 solar panels and is estimated to produce more than 17 million kWh of clean energy over its 30-year lifespan while avoiding over 11,700 metric tons of CO2 emissions. That environmental impact is equivalent to:

🏡 Powering 2,456 homes for one year
🚘 Removing 2,752 passenger vehicles from the road for one year

A special thank you to the Village of Arlington Heights for leading by example, to Title Electric Company for their installation partnership, Sweet T's Bakery for their "sunny" cupcakes, and to everyone who helped bring this project to life. 🏫 It’s always rewarding to see leaders give back where it all started.

Proud to share that our very own Chris Gersch was invited back to Township High School District 214 for the second year in a row as the keynote speaker at the Finance & Investing Competition.

Chris spent time with students sharing his journey - from trading on the floor at the Chicago Board of Trade to leading multiple sustainable energy businesses today. He spoke candidly about the lessons learned along the way, the moments that shaped him, and what it truly takes to build a meaningful career. Students also had the opportunity to interview him and gain real-world insight into the path ahead.
