Technique Tune-Up: “Keep Your Chest Up” not working for you?
🤔 Many struggle keeping their upper spines from rounding when performing lunge, squat, or hinge movement patterns.

🚫 A common cue is “keep your chest up” eliciting the head up but still resulting in rounding of the spine.
•
🔑 “Keep the string tight” provides a better awareness to engage the musculature needed in the upper back area facilitating less movement
•
🔑 Imagine one end of a string is on your chest with the other on your belly button and it’s loose. “KEEP THE STRING TIGHT” throughout your movement, feeling the muscles (of your back) that facilitate the tension of the “string”.
