If you live in Illinois, why don’t you have a FOID Card?

A FOID Card costs about $11. Getting one doesn’t mean you have to buy a firearm, carry a firearm, or even like fi****ms.

It’s about having options.

Having a driver’s license doesn’t mean you have to drive every day. It simply means you’re legally able to drive when you need to. A FOID Card works much the same way. You may never need it, but if a situation arises where you decide you want a firearm for home defense, sport shooting, collecting, or another lawful purpose, you’ll already have the legal credential required to possess one in Illinois.

Without a FOID Card, you may find yourself waiting weeks for approval, plus the required waiting period before taking possession of a firearm.

Why wait until an emergency to start the process?
