Kudos to all the business owners that are keeping up with all the posting while servicing and doing. Not going to lie - it’s been a lot for me lately but I hope this lil reminder finds your feed and inspires you.

An honor to speak to the Black Students in Business at UIC last week in support and celebration of Black History Month.

So often when I’m mentoring students, I find myself reflecting on my own journey and what I would do differently back when I was college. That time is so precious and so formative; a few tips I shared:

✨Get in the habit of forming good habits because you inevitably become what you do over and over again.
✨Watch what you get lost in and could do for hours - there lies your gift that you need to nurture.
✨ Find a system to help you manage you! That includes your emotions, your time, calendar, workload and priorities. You’re the CEO of your own life.
✨As one of my mentors instilled in me - you can not nurture others (or your business) if you don’t take care of yourself first. Without a strong YOU, the foundation of your business can break.

How much we’ve accomplished and how much more I still want to achieve. Ready to embrace every twist and turn and seize this last year of my 40s, remembering always that life is not a dress rehearsal and every moment matters. Oooppps!!! Meant to post this last night, but was taking a long bubble bath!! 🛁 That’s how I rang in the new year. Taking some time for me, singing this song in the tub at the top of my lungs feeling so incredibly grateful for the year that we just finished.

It was go-go-go every month, but I feel so blessed to be living this life and am grateful for all the beautiful surprises and adventures of this past year. THANK YOU to my clients, students, partners, team, friends and family for showing up and supporting me every step of the way. I’m in awe of what God put in front of me to tackle in 2025, but I came out on the other side glowin’ and kept going. In my era of resilience.

You all know I love to be part of fashion firsts and making history in Chicago! This was a night I’ll always remember. Honored to be a nominee for Wardrobe Stylist of the Year 2025 at the first Chicago Fashion Awards created by at the , celebrating excellence in fashion and the creative arts.

I chose to wear the dress that I wore during my TEDx talk, “The Rise of the Fashion Stylist” in 2024. I was very intentional with this because this event was yet another way to recognize the contributions of Stylists to the fashion ecosystem. The growth and demand for Stylists continues to rise, and I am so proud of how far we’ve come. Many of us Stylists started without a blueprint of how to actually be a successful Stylist and make a career out of this passion. I’m blessed to be able to educate aspiring Stylists pave the way for others. Thank you to the CFC for giving us our roses and a huge Congratulations to the Wardrobe Stylist winner, !! 🌹🌹🌹

Another highlight - meeting the legendary designer, , who said she would love to work with me and it made my night. Can’t wait to show my clients her incredible designs in the new year!
