Pioneer recently attended a land blessing ceremony for the development, coming soon to Albany Park from CircleCommunities and . The seven-story, 45-unit complex will become Chicago's first 100% affordable housing development tailored and marketed specifically to the urban native community. Other attendees included Full Circle's own Josh Wilmoth, representatives from the city's Indigenous community, Mayor Brandon Johnson, 33rd Ward Alderwoman Rossana Rodriguez-Sanchez, U.S. Representative Delia Ramirez, and Chicago Housing Commissioner Lissette Castañeda. We're looking forward to seeing the final project come to fruition "at the river's edge".

The National Brownfields Training Conference is returning to Chicago! Slated to run Aug 5-8 at McCormick Place, the show will host over 2,000 attendees and is the largest event in the nation focused on environmental revitalization and economic redevelopment of distressed and disinvested sites. Pioneer will be exhibiting at booth 706, stop by and see how we can assist you with rehabilitating your contaminated property and returning it to productive use.

Brownfields 2023 brings together local government leaders, developers, end-users of redeveloped brownfields sites, and investors.

On Friday May 16th a representative from Pioneer attended the groundbreaking for The Ave, a new affordable housing development from developers Preservation of Affordable Housing and KMW COMMUNITIES. Located at 3601 W. Chicago Ave, the mixed-use building will bring 52 housing units to the Humboldt Park neighborhood along with first floor retail spaces. It will also include resident amenities such as a community room, fitness center, bike storage, and on-site parking, with delivery anticipated by the fall of 2026.

Pioneer is proud to have provided geotechnical and environmental services for this property, and we look forward to seeing the project come to fruition. For more information about The Ave, visit the article below:

A few weeks ago, Pioneer attended the grand opening for the Harvey Lofts, a beautiful new affordable housing complex in the community of Harvey. Almost every single Pioneer department contributed services to this project, from environmental due diligence to UST removal and geotechnical investigation. Congratulations to Pivotal on the completion of another successful development!
