We couldn’t have been happier to be there to share this big day with our friends at Human-Animal Support Coalition ! We love you guys and are so proud of everything you’ve done and continue to do for Temple and Bell County!

The little clinic that could 🚂

✨ Today we celebrated fixing our 2,000th pet since we opened our low-cost spay/neuter clinic in late January of this year ✨

The really exciting part is thinking about how many pets we’ve fixed and simultaneously thinking about how many litters have been prevented.

Fixing 2,012 pets, prevented an estimated 13,000 offspring 🤩 This is super important because our local shelters are overcrowded and perfectly good family pets are losing their lives because of it.

We are also excited to share that we have provided 3,620 vaccines and given 1,493 pets a microchip this year 💖🐾 We’re making our community healthier and making sure every pet who comes through our clinic has a microchip to be able to keep them out of the shelter and get them back home should they become lost.

Today was also a serendipitous intersection of our 🌟amazing team🌟 fixing our 2,000th pet on the same day Dr. Greenberg and Elsa Allen Kohlbus were at our clinic for a training day as part of our continued partnership with Be. Spay/Neuter Consulting and Maddie's Million Pet Challenge!

Elsa was key in helping get our clinic started so it was the perfect day to have her back to celebrate with us 🙌🏼

Thanks to our community’s support, we’re all working together to create a better future for pets and their people. And ’s we’ve been able to bring some of the top consultants in the U.S. in to help us help pets.

Access to Care knows no borders. ❤️

This weekend, Be. Spay Neuter Consulting is in Terlingua, Texas, partnering with Alpine Humane Society to bring vaccines and essential veterinary care to pets in one of the most remote areas of the country.

For communities like this one, access to veterinary care can mean long distances, limited resources, and significant barriers to keeping pets healthy. We believe geography shouldn’t determine whether an animal gets the care they need.❤️

🌅 And we would be remiss if we didn’t acknowledge the challenges this community is facing beyond veterinary care, including the damage and disruption caused by border wall construction in the national park. We stand with the people and animals who call this extraordinary place home, and we support their efforts to protect their community and the land they depend on. 🌈

Because healthy communities are made up of healthy pets, healthy people, and a healthy environment.❤️🐾

🙏We’re grateful to be here, grateful for our partnership with Alpine Humane Society, and honored to do what we do best: bring care closer to the communities that need it.

Our collaboration in the Río Grande Valley continues at Palm Valley Animal Society this week with HQHVSN surgical training. Our expert trainers are onsite at PVAS monthly to provide free training to vets in South Texas. This training is open to ALL interested Texas licensed vets in good standing in South Texas. Three days in Austin. One great shelter team. And a little fun along the way. 🐾🤠

This week, Be. Spay Neuter Consulting spent three days at Austin Animal Services as part of our partnership through Maddie's Million Pet Challenge.

We spent our time with the AAS clinic team and leadership, getting to know their people, their processes, their challenges, and the work happening behind the scenes every day. The best consulting starts with listening, learning, and building relationships, and we’re grateful to have had the opportunity to do all three.

Of course, we couldn’t bring Dr. Mike to our hometown without showing him a little of the fun side of Austin!
He met the official Be. equine, Charlie 🐴, and took his very first ride in a Waymo. 😂

A huge thank you to the entire Austin Animal Services team for welcoming us, sharing your time and expertise, and making it such a great week. We’re looking forward to what comes next!

Thorndale, Texas spread the word! Little Veterinary Services is coming to town!

Thorndale, we will be coming to town on Thursday Aug 27th and still have lots of spots open!

“Pay what you can” spay/neuter. Vaccines will be provided to surgery patients only. Drop off is 8-8:30 in City Park (by the bathrooms) and pick up is 4 pm.

Last weekend at Donna North High School, veterinary medicine wasn’t just something students simply learned about, they practiced it. 🩺👩🏾‍⚕️👨🏽‍⚕️🐶

As part of our monthly, hands-on veterinary training program with the DISD Donna North High School Veterinary Sciences students, we welcomed Dr. Will Taylor from Atlanta, Georgia for a day focused on spay/neuter and veterinary terminology, and then put that knowledge to work. 🎓

Students participated in real clinical care while providing spay/neuter surgeries for community pets across the Rio Grande Valley.

This is what we believe veterinary education can be: giving high school students meaningful, hands-on experience in the profession they’re preparing to enter.

We’re grateful to Maddie’s Fund for helping make this work possible.

Thank you Human-Animal Support Coalition ! We’re so proud of how far you’ve come in such a short period of time!

This is high volume surgery 🩺 🐾

We mentioned recently that we are thrilled to have scaled up our operations quite a bit in our quest to increase access to preventative veterinary care for our community.

With a sizable increase in the number of patients we see, we wanted to determine whether our processes and protocols were still the right fit for the space we’ve grown into.

✨ So, we brought in the experts and welcomed back Be. Spay/Neuter Consulting today. Our dear friend Elsa Allen Kohlbus spent the day observing our flow, pointing out what’s working, and making suggestions on how we could best maximize our team’s strengths✨

Elsa is an integral part of the Maddie's Million Pet Challenge team who has also provided assessments for the Bell County Texas Animal Shelter and the Harker Heights Pet Adoption Center 💖

While we lead with our hearts, we also put a lot of emphasis on growing, learning, training, and understanding the ever expanding science that is veterinary medicine👩‍⚕️

Thanks to Elsa, Dr. Holly Putnam, and our most wonderful staff today for being so open to discussion and for helping HASC to get a little better each day! Our team never ceases to amaze 💫
