This one is personal for us at Be. Spay Neuter Consulting.

Be. was founded by a vet tech, and it’s led by a vet tech. So when we talk about supporting the people doing the work, we mean it.

We know what vet techs bring to the table. The skills, the problem-solving, the compassion, the ability to keep things moving when the day gets hard, and the million little things that make a successful surgery day possible.

You can have the best protocols, equipment, and plans in the world, but it all comes down to the people doing the work.

That’s why we believe supporting clinic teams isn’t a bonus or an afterthought. It’s one of the most important investments we can make in the success of high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter.

When we take care of our people, we build stronger teams, better programs, and more sustainable access to care for the animals who need us.

To all the vet techs out there doing the hard work, especially the work that often goes unseen: we see you. We know how much you bring to this field, and we want to see you supported, valued, and set up to succeed. 💙

Because better outcomes start with taking care of the people making them happen.

Congratulations Human-Animal Support Coalition !

One generous $10,000 grant award from the Dave & Cheryl Duffield Foundation; hundreds of healthier pets in Central Texas.

✨ We are so excited to share that the Human-Animal Support Coalition has received this extremely generous gift as part of the Duffield Foundation's initiative to increase access to veterinary care ✨

Approximately half of the grant money will help subsidize spay and neuter surgeries for pets in need in our community. Every pet fixed means countless unwanted litters prevented and precious lives saved at local shelters. 🐩🐈

The other half of the grant money will be used support under-resourced pet parents with free vaccines and flea/tick/heartworm prevention at our quarterly outreach events in partnership with Feast of Hope. Healthy pets mean happier families and safer communities. 💉👩‍⚕️

This month at Donna North High School, the future of vet med got hands-on. And a little spooky. 🎃🔬

Our monthly spay/neuter clinic did what it does best: sterilized animals and kept the community’s pets healthier. But the real Halloween thrills happened at the lab tables.

Our Donna North students practiced f***l tests and blood smears. Parasites under the microscope? Drippy blood on a slide? It’s the creepiest, coolest science lesson of October. Yes, we handed teenagers p**p and microscopes, and they were thrilled. Turns out the scariest thing in the lab isn’t what’s under the microscope. It’s how fast these students picked it up.

Sterilizing pets today, building the veterinary workforce of tomorrow. No tricks, just treats thanks to Maddie's Fund
