Hey friends...

I did a thing. 👀

After 19 years (crazy to even say that) I'm back in the DMV!

I left DC at age 17 for college. Stayed in Michigan for 9 years, then eventually transitioned to Chicago for another 10 years. And somewhere in the middle of all of that living, building, and becoming... home kept calling.

I've been sitting with this decision for a few years. It wasn't impulsive. It was intentional. And when the time was right, I moved.

One of the things I'm most grateful for in this season is a career that doesn't require me to choose between the people I serve and the life I want to live. I can show up fully for my clients from anywhere without missing a beat.

To everyone I built with in the Midwest... Michigan and Chicago will always have a piece of me. Thank you for giving me the space to grow into the woman I am today. I'm not going anywhere, I'll be back to visit! 😄

And to the DMV... I'm here to plant, to build, and to reconnect while also building new meaningful relationships.

Last week I had the privilege of attending Beyond the Transaction: Strategic Partnerships to Increase Client Impact, hosted by Attorney Ebony Lucas.

The information shared was truly valuable! I had the opportunity to connect with representatives from the City of Chicago, estate attorneys, founders, realtors, and CPA's across a wide range of industries.

To top off the event, I walked away with tickets to the White Sox game that evening! I wrapped up a few client meetings that I had and met my friend Shannon at the game along with my daughter. Shannon and I unintentionally showed up twinning too! 🥰😂

Proverbs 13:22 has been on my mind lately. 💭

"A good person leaves an inheritance for their children's children."

Not just your kids. Your kid's kids.

And inheritance isn't just what's in your bank account when you're gone. It's the systems, the plan, the structure you build while you're still here.

You're making the money. Grinding to hit goals and milestones. You're moving and shaking. But nobody ever showed you how to make your money move with intention.

Maybe the reason the wealth hasn't transferred yet is because the PLAN hasn't been built. Not because you don't have enough. But because the vision hasn't been put on paper and protected.

Structure and accountability changes everything.

Someone in every family has to decide to be the one.

A young couple came to me not too long ago with a new baby and zero idea where to start with structuring their finances.

"We just want to do right by her by giving her a better start than we had." 💛

The biggest mistake new parents make is waiting because they think that they need an enormous amount of money to make a difference.

Time is literally the most powerful financial tool you have for your child. And every year you wait costs more than you think.

Strategically investing allows for compound interest to do its magic! Consistently saving a little, goes a long way. 📈

So here's one action we took...

Opened a 529 Saving Plan with them contributing $100 a month into the account. Simple!

You don't need to be wealthy to start building wealth for your kids. You just need a plan and someone in your corner.

Can I share something personal today?

My daughter is 11, neurodivergent, and one of the most vibrant humans I know.

She loves playing video games. She dances around the house like nobody’s watching. And you can always count on her to make something through her crafts.

But lately, all she talks about is Disneyland.

Parenting a neurodivergent child is one of the most rewarding, and humbling things I’ve ever done. It’s taught me to slow down, pay attention, and never take a single ordinary moment for granted.

It’s also reminded me why financial stability is so important. It’s how you protect your family’s ability to just… live fully.

To say yes to the trip.

To afford the right support.

To build a future that works for a child who sees the world differently.

I became a Financial Advisor because I believe every family deserves that peace of mind.
