🌡️ Tech Tip Thursday (since we're finally starting to see some cold mornings ❄️): Wondering where you should set your thermostat this winter? Around 68°F is considered a sweet spot when you're home and is a good balance of comfort and savings, and a few degrees lower while you're asleep or away can trim your bill even more. A programmable or smart thermostat does it for you automatically!

🔥 Turning your heater on for the first time this season? Here's what to know:

✅ A light "dusty" or burning smell for the first few minutes is normal. It's just dust that settled on the components over the summer burning off.
✅ Replace your air filter before you start running it regularly.
✅ Make sure vents and registers aren't blocked by furniture or rugs.
⚠️ If you smell gas or rotten eggs, or the smell lasts more than a day, leave the house and call your gas company or an HVAC professional right away.

Not sure if your system is ready for winter? We're happy to take a look!

☀️ Even as the days get shorter, your solar panels keep working. Fall is actually a great season for solar — cooler temps mean panels run more efficiently than they do in peak summer heat. Questions about your system's output? We're happy

🔧 Quick tip: When's the last time you changed your air filter? A dirty filter makes your system work harder, drives up your energy bill, and shortens the life of your equipment. And with the Northern Valley being in the middle of harvest season, it's more important than ever to take a look — it's the easiest thing you can do for your HVAC system.

💡 Did you know? A heat pump doesn't create heat — it moves it. That's why it can heat AND cool your home from one system, using less energy than a traditional furnace and AC combo. One system. All year long. Curious if it's right for your home? Ask us!
