I would like to express my gratitude to all my customers for their patience over the last couple of weeks. As many of you may not be aware, I recently experienced a minor stroke and spent a week at Adena Hospital undergoing a comprehensive series of tests. I am now recovering well and will return to normal operations on Monday. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving Day.

Today is all about puppies. So. Many. Puppies.

In the last 7–10 days, we’ve taken in and either rehomed or transferred close to 40 puppies. We simply cannot keep up with the influx. Just yesterday, a rescue stepped up and took both of our litters of newborns, and before the transport van even made it off our road, the dog warden arrived with yet another litter.

And then there’s Peanut Butter. She came in as half of “Peanut Butter Jelly Time,” but Jelly Time has already been adopted, so now it’s just Peanut Butter. Unlike the classic sandwich combo, her breed mix isn’t exactly a natural pairing — the result of when a Shar Pei and a Cocker Spaniel fall in love.

The good news? The parents will be sterilized so no more of these surprise combos, but this girl still needs a home of her own. If you think that might be you, come meet Peanut Butter during business hours.
