Sale Day. probably end up with a couple hundred for the day. Next Monday the 5th is shaping up to be a pretty good yearling sale with several groups of opens on their way to town.

We are hosting Montana Stockgrowers listening session tomorrow, Tuesday the 29th. 5pm. Come find out what going on with stockgrowers. They are doing some good things for the cattle business in Montana.

Rain shortened the cattle run up a bit. Cows were lower than the last sale 3 weeks ago. $110 to $150 caught the cows. Top bull up to $185. Yearlings trade pretty good 9 weight heifers $300 to $315. Some low 8 weight hfrs up to $330. 8 weight strs up to $350.

Emma's service will be on Saturday 11 am at the Harlem gym. Saturday evening we will gather at the arena in Chinook. We will rope and have a nice evening enjoying horses and a visit, if you have time stop by.

Sale tomorrow consigned are 200 weigh-ups and 250 yearlings.

Feeder special Monday September 14. Expect 400 hd of yearlings. Another special on the 21 should get another 300 yearling for that day. We will be back to a sale every Monday starting at 12.
If you haven't marketed calves yet we are getting consignments for the fall schedule and would like to add you to the list.

Pretty wild week. Last sunday kicked off a week of investing in the youth of Blaine County. We had a nice time at the Kid rodeo. THANKS JENNY for ramrodding and making sure everyone was taken care of. Then the horse show, some pretty good kids showing skills that will last a life time. Livestock shows, rodeo, and the demo took up the rest of our time. Did we over do it? Maybe? It was sure nice to see everyone hope you all had a good time.
Sale on Monday was short right at 60 hd. Cow market was a touch lower but still trading $2000 to $2500 per head. Bulls were mostly $190 to $210. One big Char bull at almost 2600lbs brought $217.
We will be off next week and back on the 24th. Make sure to check the schedule working on a yearling and calf special schedule.
Video sale on Monday August 17th. There is still another video scheduled for September.

Cow market steady. $168 to $192. Bulls a touch lower $200 to $223. No Sale on the 6th.

We will be out all week signing NLVA contracts. Contracts need to be in by the 3rd. Sale will be on July 20 -22.

Steady Markets on all classes of cattle.
Cows $150 to $192. Young cows $200 to $250.
Bulls mostly $200 to $230. Did see a few light bulls $180 to $195.
A few Fancy yearling heifers weighing 950 lbs brought over $3000 per head.
Next sale will be Monday June 29th.

We will be at the Northern Livestock Video on Thursday and Friday. Remember that July sale deadline is July 3. We will be out filming cattle daily. If you have thought about a video auction now is the time to show off your program. Thanks for the business and we will see you out and about.

Wide spread rain across the trading area! I would venture to say this will slow down the pair and yearling trade across Montana. Put a little more positivity in our step and give us the confidence to start marketing some fall delivery cattle.
Now... Lets talk cattle. We sold right at 100 cows on Monday market was steady. Cows trading mostly $2300 to $3000 per head. $155 to $185 top of $232. Bulls $185 to $230.
