You started a business so you wouldn't have to answer to anyone.

And then you became the worst boss you've ever had.

No PTO. No boundaries. Full accountability for everything. Texts yourself at 11pm. The audacity.

Somewhere between "I just need to get through this launch" and "why is it always something," you became the most expensive, least rested person on the payroll.

I did this too. For longer than I'd like to admit. Convinced myself staying on top of everything was the strategy.

It was not a strategy. It was just exhaustion with better branding.

What actually changed things was building systems that didn't require me to personally hold the whole thing together. Turns out the business can function when I'm not hovering over it like a helicopter parent.

As a 7-figure founder, I have thoughts on what's actually worth spending money on.

Buying from your friends' businesses without them having to ask twice. Real ones know.

The software subscription you almost cancelled three times but now runs half your backend. Worth every penny and a small apology for doubting it.

The stuff that buys back your time, keeps your systems running, and reminds you that being a good human in business actually matters.
