Open Positions:

1. Alarm Technician - some experience with low voltage is preferred. Alarm technicians will install and service camera systems, burglar alarms, fire alarms, and access control systems. Applicant must be able to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and have the ability to learn some network/IT related skills. This position does require a clear background check and pre-employment drug screen. Pay ranges from $14 - $35 per hour, depending on experience and current Department of Labor licensing in the alarm industry.

2. Receptionist/Service Department Assistant - Primary functions of this position include answering incoming phone calls and providing technical support to customers, cellular inventory and remote assistance management, fleet tracking reports and service logging, and assisting the service manager with other tasks as needed. Pay Ranges from $12 - $25 per hour, depending on experience and current Department of Labor licensing in the alarm industry. This position does require a clear background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Funday Monday! Who is your mini-twin? Do you think Anginette Milnes Lay and her daughter look alike?

Anginette has been with Comtec since 2008 and is the HR Director. She also supports the technical field team and provides remote technical support to our customers. Some say she “wears many hats” for the us, but we have really only seen her in her favorite Run Happy hat.

She is an avid cyclist, swimmer, and loves a good CrossFit workout. This mom of three is appreciated by us, so we want to giver her a big SHOUT OUT.

Reminder for all Choctaw Residents! Polls are open until 7 pm. Two ballot items that both address funding for the school district - without raising taxes! This will give the school district the funds to build new schools to support our growing student count.

Main Street is beautiful all covered in snow. With the sun shining today, it almost looks like the ground is covered in diamonds. Here are a few tips for managing your security system during the winter weather :

1. Make sure your back up battery is in good condition. A visual inspection will reveal any obvious issues (Leaking acid, a date older than 2 years, corroded battery leads....). If you are really handy, you can even put a meter on it to rest the voltage.
2. For remote locations like a lake house, hunting cabin, or business that is closed for the day, use the Virtual Keypad app to make sure your system is armed and monitor events.
3. Consider adding water leak detection. No one likes a leaky pipe damaging things . Adding a “water bug” in key areas can help prevent major damage and hassle.
