Several factors, including the chance to pursue a new lucrative, professional opportunity, influenced my decision. This journey has been one of the most fulfilling chapters of my life, and I am incredibly grateful for the trust, support, and encouragement you have shown me.

I had the pleasure of meeting Nic Sheff and hearing him speak today at the Alcohol & Drug Awareness Center for the Concho Valley’s Spring Luncheon. The movie Beautiful Boy is based on his memoir, Tweak: Growing Up on Methamphetamines, and his father’s book, Beautiful Boy: A Father’s Journey Through His Son’s Addiction. You can also get a peek of the painting of Nic painted by Alejandro Castañon at the event. What an inspiring day!
