This is a local fire department here in Mobile County. Also, just in case someone in our area receives this type of call. Oak Grove DOES NOT place phone calls asking for your help. We use other ways to raise money for our department. We also would like to thank everyone for your support.
🚨 Scam Alert! 🚨
It has come to our attention that individuals are pretending to be from Theodore Dawes Fire Rescue, soliciting donations over the phone. Remember, we NEVER ask for money via phone calls, emails, or direct mail!
Here's how you can spot and report scams:
❌ We never ask for donations over the phone
❌ We never ask for personal info like your address or financial details during unsolicited calls or emails
✅ Legitimate communications from us will include proper ID and info about Theodore Dawes Fire (if in doubt, hang up and contact us directly).
If you suspect a scam:
❌Hang up, end the call, or delete the email
❌ Do NOT share personal information
