Giant oak trees such as this one are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also add significant value to homes and neighborhoods in many ways. They add character, provide shade, and give wildlife such as birds and squirrels homes and food which in turn allow them to be appreciated and admired by the people in the community. Such trees are more than deserving of a little TLC. I had the opportunity to climb and prune this mature pin oak for a customer today, and it reminded me why I got into tree service in the first place 🌳

Unfortunately, the trees don’t care too much about Covid-19. If you have a tree that is presenting a hazard to your property or your well being, please do not hesitate to get ahold of me. Accommodations can be made to make sure that all of the social distancing and health guidelines against Covid-19 are followed during any interactions with JBTree. It would be more dangerous for people to put themselves in situations where they feel the need to take care of hazardous tree problems themselves, instead of reaching out to the professions who have the equipment and the know-how to safely take care of issues like these. Stay safe out there everyone.

As unfortunate as it is, the EAB (emerald ash borer) has done quite a lot of damage to Ohio’s tree canopy. Somewhere around 1/5th to 1/4th of our native trees in Ohio were ash species, and most of them have been decimated by this invasive pest. Therefore, many homeowners have large, quickly degrading ash trees near their homes that are in need of removal. Contact me on here at JBTree if you have ash trees that you would like to have removed from your property before they become too much of a liability.

With the top removed, felling the trunk of this large black locust tree (Robinia pseudoacacia) can be done without the stress or anxiety of doing damage to the property or power lines.

Need a tree dropped but don’t want it to hit your house or power lines? Knocking the top out of the tree can help to make the tree shorter and manageable when it comes time to fell the truck. Contact JBTree if you’re in need of specialized and affordable tree work and arbor care 🌳

Late winter is the perfect time to prune fruit trees if you’re looking to encourage vigorous growth. If you have a young, newly planted fruit tree that needs structurally pruned or a mature, slow growing tree that also needs some crown thinning, this would be the best time to get it done to improve the health of the tree and allow you to enjoy a fuller fruit production this summer and fall. Contact JBTree if you have fruit trees that you would like pruned before the buds open up in spring 🌳
