Dear Customers, Employees, and friends,
At SpringDot, we are not new to rapid changes….as we celebrate our 116th year of private ownership, our company has survived two world wars, many drastic world events, and each one of them has always tested our resolve and our commitment to the American Dream. We have always been committed to building a business to be proud of that will endure for generations to come.
COVID-19 has been one of those challenges. It is hard to believe what is going on, but it can’t be denied or ignored. I wanted to personally let you all know the steps we have taken and where we are going.
A week ago, I put the office on 4 hour shifts and installed technology to let everyone work from home. I told those employees whom are at special risk (those with pre-existing breathing conditions) to stay home for two weeks. We have kept our production at full levels, and have sent out multiple notices to employees letting them know the situations and if they felt uncomfortable they were to stay home. We have agreed to pay all of our employees their full time wage, as of today….regardless of how many hours they are actually here.
If the governor decides to shut down the city, I want you all to know we see the work we do here as essential for our customers. We specialize in businesses for the retail market, convenience stores, and other companies that need print. Today as an example we are printing yard signs “Now Open” for several restaurant chains... We are printing signage for Kroger telling people where to find hand sanitizer in their stores, and printing 2,000,000 packages for American Thermal, where they will be inserting a special kind of thermometer to help the health industry take people’s temperatures.
Through it all, we will do what we have been doing since my great, great grandfather ran this company…taking care of our community, our customers, and our employees. We are taking all the precautions made by the CDC seriously, and are committed to staying in full operations as long as it is legal.
Thank you for always putting your trust in us, and you have my promise that SpringDot and ThoroughBred will be here for both our customers and employees now, and after our country beats COVID-19.
Regards,
