Weather Advisory – Southwest Ohio (Mon, January 26)
We’re expecting significant snowfall across Southwest Ohio this weekend, with forecasts currently calling for 9–12 inches, tapering off Monday afternoon.
What this means for 3PLs and ecommerce shipments:
All major parcel carriers may experience delays. Regularly scheduled pickups or drop-offs could be pushed back by one business day.
A regional note that often surprises people: in this area, commercial roads are typically cleared before residential streets. That means facilities may be open while some employees are unable to safely travel to work, which can affect throughput even when operations are running.
If you operate an ecommerce business:
If possible, consider adding +1 business day to handling times for shipments moving through — or destined for — the Ohio / Kentucky / Indiana tri-state area.
If you work at a 3PL:
Please prioritize safety. Clients value reliability and predictability, and a one-time weather-related delay is far preferable to longer-term service disruption caused by preventable staffing issues.
We’ll continue to monitor conditions and adjust as needed.
