Recently, the management team at Silco Fire & Security joined Xavier Leadership Center for a private program on Authentic Leadership, facilitated by Valerie Plis.

Together, they explored a powerful leadership concept: aligning intent with impact.

The conversation centered around three important questions:
Who do you want to be as a leader?
Who do you want to be as a leadership team?
How do you want others to experience your leadership?

Because authentic leadership isn’t just about knowing who you are. It’s about being intentional about the leader you choose to be and making sure that intention shows up in the experience you create for others.

The Leadership Center partnered with GE Aerospace for a private Military Officer Leadership Program, focused on equipping leaders with practical skills they can put to work immediately.

The sessions explored two critical areas of leadership: Finance Essentials and Change Management—helping participants strengthen their business acumen and lead effectively through change.

A special thank you to our facilitators Stephanie Sisak, Deanna Suskovich, and Tom Merrill for sharing their expertise and creating an engaging learning experience.

The 1990s were a defining decade for Xavier Leadership Center.

Then known as the Center for Management and Professional Development, the Center was becoming a major force in regional workforce development building deep partnerships with leading organizations and helping businesses develop the talent they needed to thrive.

In 1999, the Center evolved into the Xavier Management Consulting Group, expanding its impact through strategic consulting, training and corporate partnerships.

One partnership that helped define this era was with Kroger. Through a three-year engagement focused on continuous improvement training, the Center served multiple Kroger plants across the region. The partnership also helped fund the original furniture and AV systems for the Center’s upcoming new home in the Cintas Center.

It was more than training. It was a partnership that helped shape the future of the Center and its ability to serve the region’s workforce for decades to come.

60 years of impact. And the story continues.

This morning, we had the pleasure of welcoming our incredible Xavier Leadership Center facilitators to campus for our annual Facilitator Breakfast!

We took time to reflect on the past year, look ahead to what’s coming, and share ideas on the latest trends shaping leadership and professional development.

Our facilitators bring so much expertise, energy, and passion to the work we do at the Leadership Center, and we’re incredibly grateful for the impact they make with our learners and partners every day.
