How is the COVID-19 outbreak impacting your credit....here you go...
This is what’s coming down the pipeline on the credit front....
This is about to get PROPOSED as a legislative response to Coronavirus...among other things...
1) Suspension of all consumer and small business credit payment requirements. This includes mortgages, auto loans, student loans, credit cards, small business loans, and personal loans. No fees or interest to accrue.
2) Suspension of ALL negative consumer credit reporting during the pandemic and 120 days thereafter. Also, the CRAs would be "prohibited" from lowering a consumer's credit score, which doesn't make sense given the CRAs don't control what "counts" in a consumer's FICO score.
3) Prohibit debt collection, repos, and garnishment of wages during the pandemic, and for 120 days thereafter.
4) Prohibit all evictions, foreclosures, and repos, including homes, RVs, and cars. (The POTUS, through HUD, announced today that some of this is already going to be implemented.)
5) Require forbearance programs for mortgages on rental properties.
