Feel free to pixel peak this one. No matter what the project is I’m shooting, I’ll always try to make time to capture an image in the set that speaks directly to my passion of photography. The level of detail in a close up headshot/portrait will always set my soul on fire and didn’t disappoint as we took a few seconds to snap this impromptu image right before they performed.

When it’s your single “Radio” release party so it’s all eyes on you. rocked the house with guests and (those images to come) and gave us all something amazing to groove to over the Halloween weekend. Peep the last image to view the fun little prop added costume.

A few more from the Senior session my nephew and I did a few weeks back. I’ve got the gear, and the muscle memory is slowly creeping back in on shoot days. Congrats .niblack_ on nearly wrapping up a huge chapter in your life!

Adventure • “An unusual exciting, typically hazardous, experience or activity.” 😆 First time I’ve seen it defined in such a way but I’ll go with it. When and I played on the bridge I learned a thing or two about using the Continuous AutoFocus mode to make sure that these moving shots came out well. I’m getting the bug to shoot again and I’m absolutely going to adventure into some more movement shots, hazardous or not. Haha I really could have created two rows for all these, but the instagram game has changed a bit in the last 4 years so I’m slowly catching up.

Subtlety • “delicacy, fineness, astuteness, ingenuity”
had me happily surprised when she brought out a side of her I’d not yet ever captured. She’s a fierce soul, that guards her softness with passion. I remember looking up at her from the camera in awe and giddiness when she started throwing these doe eyes out of the blue.
Figured I’d mix it up a bit because these colored images have to her justice to be displayed front and center from this set.

When one controls the mind, one understands how much stronger vulnerability is than being impenetrable.
Too many shots to choose from, so I’m going to make this set a B&W/Color switch up. It’s always great to meet up with friends who never skip a beat; souls that were likely bonded in another lifetime. is serving those looks, 100% of the time!

A on an is my “travel” rig anytime I’m out and about. I do love the combo, however with someone so expressive with their hands and body, it doesn’t do .mmmmmms justice. Instagrams annoying cropping when posting multiple images doesn’t help either, so excuse the purposeful lack of headroom to show more hands/detail.

Can’t wait to bust out a few other lens choices with ya in the summer!

A badass creative musician and a true elder soul, .mmmmmms out here as a sleeper talent. Keep living life large Mrs.

Portraits. I’m not in front of a lens too often (selfies aside), so I definitely need some tips on posing. :) While visiting family recently, I caught up with .mmmmmms and we took a bit of time after deep conversations to snap a few images of one another. It’s always great to see the process of another creative and how they work through their images.

Sometimes you need to find inspiration in familiarity.
While taking a quick trip out to CA to visit my mother for her birthday I was able to meet up with a small number of long time friends. One thing that’s been consistent is that even with distance and time apart, we remain in similar situations in life and it’s such a great grounding experience to be able to catch up and feel like it was just yesterday that we last saw one another. For many, it’s been since 2019, for others it’s been a decade. What I will say in all of this crazy we live in is don’t forget to capture every moment. I’m making it a point to capture group photos, now more than ever. Love you. Say it more often.

Last, and absolutely not least, in the set from last months . This is definitely one of my favorite captures of the night. The colors. The contrast. The texture. Everything was working when we placed in front of the lens. It was most definitely an exercise in manual compensation of aperture, shutter speed, and ISO levels. Can’t wait to enjoy another curated set of artists at the next installment. Follow to keep up with the details!
