***Matrix Arms Announces Strategic Equity Sale to Industry Insiders***

FOR IMMEDIATE PRESS RELEASE: July 11, 2025 - Claremont, NH -

Matrix Arms, a fast-growing American fi****ms manufacturer, has announced the sale of a minority equity stake to long-time industry partners Zak Prevost and Allen Gearhart. While the exact terms of the deal have not been publicly disclosed, the sale took place on or around July 4th, 2025.

Gearhart and Prevost each bring over a decade of firearm industry experience and have been loyal customers and collaborators of Matrix Arms for nearly 10 years. Their addition to the ownership team marks a strategic move to expand the company’s capabilities and operations, as well as to help position the brand for long-term success.

Zak Prevost holds a Master’s in Civil Engineering from the University of Mississippi, while Allen Gearhart earned his engineering degree from Mississippi State University. Their technical backgrounds, combined with years of hands-on industry insight, make them uniquely qualified to help lead Matrix Arms into its next phase of development. Prevost and Gearhart, already business partners for over 10 years have successfully operated Midstate Fi****ms an online fi****ms retailer since early 2014.

Matrix Arms will continue to operate as a privately owned business under Farris’ majority control, with no changes to its leadership philosophy or commitment to delivering innovative American-made fi****ms. “This partnership reinforces the company’s momentum and lays the foundation for expanded opportunities. We have many more exciting announcements coming in the next couple of months, including new product releases, new hires, the launching of our largest retailer to date, and even the grand opening of our showroom and retail storefront in Claremont, New Hampshire” said Farris.

The results are in... I had an amazing time shooting my first World Speed Shooting Championships! To take our very own creation the MXI pistol and compete at the highest level in the world is truly a blessing! Just 6 years ago I had shot a pistol less than 5 times in my life.. hundreds of thousands of rounds, hundreds of range trips, thousands of hours, many blisters, headaches, blood, sweat and tears went into the making of these pistols.

The amount of hard work it took has allowed me to accidentally and in less than 3 years since my first ever competition achieve these incredible results.

While my best overall finish was a 5th Place in the iron sight Production division I feel more proud to have also placed Top 10 in CO and Open, the two most popular centerfire pistol divisions. Where I had 9th and 10th Place finishes. With 5 pistols shot in all 5 centerfire pistol divisions over 3 days my worst finish was an 11th. One of the 3 pistols I shot has over 100,000 rounds. A true testament to how much I believe in our fi****ms.

The MXI was fighting outside of its weight class in 3 of the 5 divisions, as I used off the shelf Blazer ammo with my carry optics MXI and holster including in all Open and LTD divisions, some of which allow for compensators, race holsters, no weight limits etc. Shooting not only against the best and most expensive pistols in the world but against the best professional shooters. The MXI is more than ready to disrupt the competition market forever. Next year we will be back with our real "Open" MXI, competition ammo and hopefully a better shooter as well 😀.

A massive shout out to the MX pistol co-inventor .bastian.106 and to Team Matrix Arms who recruited me into this sport just under 3 years ago after seeing some of our shooting videos on Instagram.

We are also incredibly excited to announce the creation of the Matrix Arms shooting team, something that has been in the works since last year, with our first full season being 2026. Stay tuned to find out which of your favorite shooters will be on Team Matrix.
