We added the glass lid and finished it with a custom in-house acid-etched design, creating a one-of-a-kind piece that beautifully combines the warmth and craftsmanship of dark walnut with our custom glasswork.

Replacing a shattered Insulating Glass Unit (IGU) in a patio slider is a critical repair, as most patio doors require tempered safety glass to prevent injuries. A shattered tempered panel typically breaks into thousands of small, relatively blunt pieces rather than large, dangerous shards, but it still leaves your home insecure and exposed to the elements.

When a tempered IGU is shattered, the entire unit—the two panes of glass, the spacer bar, and the insulating gas—must be replaced. This isn't a DIY job; measuring, ordering, and installing a new large glass panel requires specific tools and expertise to ensure the door slides smoothly and remains energy efficient.

A professional glass replacement service will begin by safely removing the remaining shattered glass and the old unit frame.
