This one was a fun project and a great transformation.

This property was once part of an old coal strip mine, and over the years a large amount of spoil material had been pushed up around the pond. The owners wanted to build a new house pad overlooking the water while also creating more usable space for their family.

We excavated roughly 2,000 cubic yards of shale material to construct the new house pad, then used that material to reclaim and expand the surrounding area, creating a large yard and future playground space.

It’s always rewarding to take ground that wasn’t very usable and turn it into something that adds value and functionality for years to come.

Started trenching for a new electric line today. Before we make our way across the alley, the city came out to mark all the underground utilities.

Everything was going smooth until the supervisor showed up and started inspecting everyone’s work. 👷‍♀️😂
Good thing she approved the project so we can keep digging.

Before and after pictures of the land clearing job we wrapped up last week.

We removed all trees, brush, and root balls from the designated construction area, leaving the property ready for the next phase. Looking forward to coming back and building the house pad and driveway.

Even ole reliable needs a day off every now and then. 😅
The old Bobcat decided it was time for a ride instead of a work day. Looks like a new fuel system is in its future. We’ll get it fixed up and back to work soon.

Another project wrapped up! ✅
We recently completed a 65’ x 100’ house pad along with a 600-foot driveway. This project required 52 dump truck loads of material to build a solid foundation and provide proper elevation and drainage for the future home.
A lot of dirt was moved, graded, and compacted to make sure this pad is built right from the ground up. We appreciate the opportunity and look forward to seeing the house go up!
