BNI Synapse - Clark, NJ BNI members, on average, increase their business 20% the first year. Synapse is a dynamic and fun! The in-person meetings are held at Manny's Diner in Clark, NJ.

Our chapter is a dynamic, committed group of business people who know how to refer business to each other. We have open categories for individuals who will bring enthusiasm and integrity to our meeting. Just one person per professional specialty is allowed in each chapter. We meet every Tuesday morning with a hybrid in-person and online schedule.

👏 We have a new season of leadership and growth at BNI Synapse! Last Tuesday, we welcomed our incoming Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and celebrated the relationships that help our businesses thrive. 👏 Congratulations to the whole new leadership team under the new ELT:

💡 Joseph Attanasi of JEA Life & Health Insurance led our education moment on attendance. Showing up demonstrates commitment, keeps us engaged, and helps us learn how to refer one another each week. When you can’t attend, sending a substitute maintains that connection and introduces someone new to the chapter.

🏆 Our Oscar winner was Jim Thompson of Bright Trail Customer Development! He shared his experience creating a video spotlight for the Stampone brothers of Major Printing Company. Their strong family bond helps power their business—and according to the brothers, they never fight! 😉

☀️ Ray Angelo of Angelo Financial Group chose Positive Attitude as his favorite core value. His tip: Write down what you’re grateful for and read it every morning to start your day with a positive mindset.

🤝 Tammy Teague of Clear to Close Title Agency shared her BNI story. She initially joined at her agency’s request, but what felt like another business group soon became family—and a network that continues to help her business grow.

💡 Brandon Daunno of Daunno Realty led our Education Moment on trust versus doubt. Every referral puts our reputation on the line. Building relationships and demonstrating reliability give others confidence to recommend us.

🏆 Jeanine Dargis of Payroll Vault of Edison won the Oscar with her specific request for “ADP haters!” A client left for extra bells and whistles, then returned months later needing cleanup and missing her personalized service.

🎤 Ray Angelo of Angelo & Associates Financial Group highlighted two ideal clients: young, successful business owners seeking guidance on credit, investing, and retirement; and people about five years from retirement who need a plan for their investments, timing, and desired lifestyle.

🎤 Kevin McLoughlin of RLA Appraisals discussed AI tools flagging appraisal photos with personal or religious items that could introduce bias. He also explained how permit issues can complicate a sale and why an experienced appraiser is a valuable resource.

Jillian Safchik of Safchik Real Estate Law described the chapter as a sounding board and executive board for her business. Entering her third year in BNI, she shared that her business has doubled year over year thanks to BNI referrals!

💡 Brandon Daunno of Daunno Realty reminded us that visitors and substitutes bring new networks into the room. A conversation, business card or 1-to-1 can lead to valuable introductions.

🏆 Robyn Ross of Ross & Calandrillo Family Law won the Oscar! She explained how parent coordination helps families work through visits, sports schedules, transportation and college drop-offs, potentially resolving disagreements before they require more court time.

🎤 Joseph Stampone of Major Printing Company brought samples of mailers, booklets, bindings and folders. He showed how QR codes connect print to landing pages and digital follow-up campaigns.

🎤 Fran Ryan of Northfield Bank shared an update on its merger with Columbia Bank, including more branches, lenders and products. Her message: a banker you can call directly makes a difference when you need help quickly.

This past weekend, Manny Xidias of BiggerFish Marketing and his wife Rozy hosted our BNI Synapse Greek Meat Extravaganza BBQ!

Members brought their spouses and families for a beautiful evening filled with delicious potluck dishes, plenty of laughs, and more Greek meat than anyone could possibly eat.

Events like these give us an opportunity to know one another beyond the weekly diner meetings, strengthen our friendships, and build the trust behind great referrals.

Last Wednesday, BNI Synapse enjoyed a fun Networking After Hours event at Lucky Strike in Green Brook. Joe Attanasi was the pro on-site—and his score completely bowled us over! The rest of us may want to stick to networking and our day jobs. 😂

📚 Jim Thompson of Bright Trail Customer Development shared an Education Moment based on BNI Podcast Episode 234: “Who, How, What.” The takeaway: Teach your fellow members who your ideal referral is, how to recognize the opportunity and what to say when making the introduction.

🏆 Our Oscar winner was Dan Grabon of Roaring Moose Promotions, who had some fun with “helicopter parents” checking in on their college kids. He brought a squishy helicopter that colleges could brand—a creative reminder that sometimes parents need to let their students fly! 🚁

🤝 Jon Cubukcu of TC Plumbing shared his BNI purpose: trusted referrals and living by Givers Gain. The more he helps others succeed, the more his network helps his plumbing business grow.

💡 Cindy Fresco - Cruise Planners chose Traditions & Innovation as her favorite BNI Core Value. Proven structure creates consistency, while technology, marketing and fresh presentation ideas help us evolve and generate better referrals.
