Got out for match No. 3 today. Ended up shooting 88% and placing 2nd in DMR division right behind and 3rd overall. Feeling really good this season. My new .wilson_mfg barrel is rocking in the Broadsword upper with everything from I can put through it.

Shot the Gas Gun Series match #2 today. By far the best match I’ve shot especially with miserable conditions for half the day. Placed 4th in Tac division and 8th overall out of 71 shooters.

Tried some new things this match a things panned out as planned. Target acquisition and movement from position to position was much faster, aggressive, and overall felt great.

My / rifle ran solid paired with a custom .wilson_mfg SPR barrel and 262 Alpha 77gr SMKs at 2915fps. I’m sure I’ll get humbled again next match. 🍻

RDS Instructor in Monmouth Co., NJ is a wrap. This is the second class in a year where the same student pulled top shooter on both our qual and class comp, taking home a double gold patch, some ETS swag, and a certificate from for a free holster. 5 years ago wrote out this training reminder for me of things I needed to work on at his first instructor course. I’ve since then improved in each other these categories, and have implemented all of these skills in every pistol class I teach.

It’s nice to find these training reminders. It’s know hung up in the shop on the bench.

Folks. June 27th, 2026 and myself will be running a one day Practical Movement & Pistol Dynamics collab course at Double Eagle Pocono.

We’re going to jam. Lots of shooting. Lots of movement. It’s going to be awesome. Combining our backgrounds of LE and various competitive shooting formats, we’re going to break things down for everyone to understand based on each students unique background.
