This week, as we approach Memorial Day weekend, the kick-off to summer, I can’t help but think about my grandparents. 🍅⛱️

They cherished the summer months, maybe because it was the closest version to Sicilian life they could get in the states. They were in their element on warm evenings tending to their tomatoes and fresh cucuzza (squash) in their garden.

While I can’t stop by their house to indulge in an Italian summer with them, I can create my own version and invite you to have one with me. So, pull up a chair … the pot is on. 🍝
