We can’t stop politicians or the media from manipulating a crisis to support their agendas.
The bottom line is this. There are bad people who do bad things. There are good people at risk because they innocently don’t know how to stop the bad the people. I can help.

Organizations that collect data on mass shootings each use their own definitions for them — some of which are broad such as incidents in which at least four people are injured or killed. Other databases use a narrower definition that includes at least four deaths.

STAY VIGILANT AND BE AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS

When it comes to safety, there are more places than just the workplace:
• Parking Lot: A criminal hiding in plain sight or even a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot can mean a safety/security risk to you, as well as the company.
• Getting in your vehicle: Criminals can see this as a time to strike as you are distracted by getting ready to drive with tasks such as putting on your seatbelt, starting the car, or even tuning in to your favorite radio station.
• Going to The Store: Various stores and shopping malls are high traffic areas with people and vehicles alike. This can be a haven for criminals where you could be a potential target!
Things to look out for:
Sometimes it can be hard to distinguish a safety risk while outside home or work. Be suspicious of any abnormal actions or behavior from others around you while utilizing these tips:
• If You See Something, Say Something: If you notice something that gives you a bad feeling that appears to be a suspicious situation, then call appropriate assistance.
• Be Aware of Your Surroundings: Avoid distractions when out in public places. Minimize cell phone use, reduce your music volume, and look around while traveling in busy areas. Make sure to look around often and do not keep your head down.
• Communication With People Around You: Do you think something looks suspicious, but are too nervous or afraid to call the police? Get a second and third opinion! Getting others involved allows more eyes and ears to be dedicated to public safety.
• Leave Space When Driving: Whether you a driving your personal vehicle, or a company vehicle, and you are stopped at a red light or behind another vehicle in traffic, make sure to leave enough space so that you can drive around if needed. Do not allow yourself to be boxed in. Always have an escape route!
• Know how to use Text to 9-1-1: If you are in a situation in which you cannot make noise due to imminent danger, you can now text message emergency services to request help from police, fire, and/or medical services.
