From icy winter mornings to year-round water quality monitoring, the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management’s Office of Water Resources relies on their 24' Thunder Jet Alexis Pro to get the job done.

Since taking delivery in December 2025, the team has used the vessel as a dedicated platform for monitoring shellfish growing waters throughout Narragansett Bay and Rhode Island's coastal waters. Operating approximately 125 days a year, the Alexis Pro provides the comfort, safety, and reliability needed for all-season sampling—even during one of Rhode Island's coldest winters in recent years.

"Winter of 2026 was colder than normal in Rhode Island, and the full cabin with back wall made sampling much safer and more comfortable. The Thunder Jet has been an excellent sampling platform for us." – David Borkman, RI DEM Office of Water Resources

We're proud to build boats that support the important work of protecting coastal ecosystems and public health.
