The secret to an organized laundry room isn’t the bins. It’s getting rid of the clutter first.

This laundry room transformation started by removing items that no longer belonged in the space and letting go of things that weren’t being used. Once the clutter was gone, we could create simple, functional systems that actually make sense for everyday life.

For many of our ADHD clients, visibility is key. Clear bins help eliminate the “out of sight, out of mind” problem and make it easier to find things, use them, and put them back where they belong.

The real goal of organizing isn’t perfection. It’s creating a home where everything has a designated place so the system is easy to maintain long after we’re gone.

A well-organized space doesn’t just look better. It reduces stress, saves time, and makes everyday tasks feel a little easier.

People spend so much time designing homes to look beautiful that they forget to design them to actually function well too.

As a professional organizer, I can almost always tell when a home was designed without storage and systems in mind — because even the most beautiful spaces can feel stressful when they don’t support everyday life.

If I were building or remodeling a home, these are the things I’d prioritize every single time:
• Functional custom closets
• Pantry systems that actually maximize space
• Drawers over deep shelving
• Intentional drop zones
• Storage in the utility spaces people overlook

Because organization isn’t really about having less stuff. It’s about making your home easier to live in, easier to maintain, and less overwhelming day to day.

A well-designed home should work with you — not against you.
