Carlton's Custom Hardwood Milling Carlton provide custom hardwood milled lumber, live edge slabs and custom hardwood garden sheds. I also, provided real estate appraisal services for 18yrs.

I provided pressure washing, painting and deck/patio repairs services for 25 yrs as self employed. I retired from the deck and exterior house maintenance services in 2019 and am providing real estate appraisal services full time. I purchased a historic hand hewn cabin as my residence and slowly renovating the cabin. As part of that process I set up a mill and am sustainably gathering trees for mil

ling and cabin heat. I have extra logs that I can build beautiful garden sheds or other creative live edge or hardwood lumber projects that are sustainably built, very beautiful and long lasting. I recommend good sized roof over hangs in shed/smoke house ect... builds and the linseed oil based stain that I used on decks for over 15 yrs. Due to the limits on logs and my time this service is for those that want to added sustainability to their lives and understand the cost is greater than going to big box store.

This deck had the steps and landing added at a later date than the original build. The steps and landing were dirty but still natural wood. The older deck was dirty and had some peeling water-based solid color paint. We did a full cleaning, replaced some boards and sanded the floor. We put Armstrong Clark Linseed oil stain on the floor. This allows the customer to have the low maintenance oil on the horizontal surface that takes most of the abuse. Since the deck railing had old water-based paint on it we could not do oil on the deck railing. To get a consistent look across the deck we color matched Sherwin-Williams Superdeck acrylic paint on the railings to the linseed oil stain on the floor. Now the deck has a low maintenance oil on the floor and looks consistent.
