Are you looking for an opportunity to make a real difference while working in a dynamic, hybrid role? We’re on the hunt for a passionate, versatile go-getter who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and dive into the world of philanthropy, event planning, and travel. Starting Salary:
- $25/hour (Paid!) We may ask you a for a few volunteer hours during crunch time.
Location:
- Downtown Clearwater, FL – Hybrid (Office & Remote – with approval)
But first, a few ground rules:
- This isn’t a side gig. We need someone who’s 100% committed, fully focused on our work, knows their stuff, or at least a fast learner, and without personal distractions. You must respond very promptly to calls and emails from the CEO, with no room for error.
Hours:
- 40 hours/month to start, with potential for more as we grow!
Travel:
- Commuting? That’s on you. Other travel expenses? We’ll talk.
The Perks (or lack thereof):
- No paid leave.
- No paid holidays.
- No medical insurance or benefits. (But you do get the satisfaction of working for a fantastic cause!)
About USA4RSA:
USA4RSA is a non-profit private foundation that's passionate about mental health, with a footprint in both South Africa (since 1991) and the U.S. We raise funds to support our own mental health facilities and advocate for broader mental health issues in South Africa. A portion of our donations also goes toward veterans in need of mental health support here in Florida.
Plus, we're involved in exciting charity business ventures and fundraising events, including auctions for safaris, cruises, and travel packages that help fund our foundation’s initiatives. We keep things fresh with event planning, fundraising, and philanthropy at its finest.
What We’re Looking For:
- Someone who’s flexible, organized, and ready to juggle a variety of tasks and really loves people. (We may get you some help along the way).
- A positive, can-do attitude, with a passion for mental health advocacy and event planning.
- Punctuality and reliability are a must (you’ll need to be here for two days a week, five hours a day).
What You'll Do: (In essence, someone that can perform miracles)
- Help brainstorming ideas for fundraising events, organize and run those awesome fundraising events, including safaris, cruises, and charity galas, dance events and more.
- Assist the CEO with all things administrative (yep, even personal tasks – multitasking is key).
- Be our social media champion – creating content, managing accounts, and spreading the word about our work. - Dive into mental health-related tasks for both South Africa and the U.S.
- Research and plan impactful fundraising events like charity golf tournaments, sports outings, and more.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience in social media, event planning, or the travel biz. - A love for philanthropy and the drive to make a real difference.
- A flair for creative fundraising ideas.
