Conference Information:

Every state has a voice. Every state has a role. We need yours in Louisville.

As we prepare for the 2026 SETA Fall Conference (August 30–September 2), we are encouraging strong participation from each of our eight SETA states. Whether you represent workforce development, education, economic development, business and industry, community-based organizations, corrections, human services, government, or a strategic partner organization, this conference was designed to help you lead with greater impact.

The 2026 SETA Fall Conference is more than a professional development event; it's a strategic planning and solutions forum where leaders come together to examine emerging challenges, share proven practices, and develop collaborative approaches that strengthen workforce systems throughout the Southeast.

Together, we will explore what is working, identify what must evolve, and equip attendees with practical strategies that can be adapted and implemented in communities across our region.

You'll Experience

High-impact general sessions examining national workforce trends, policy developments, employer engagement strategies, youth workforce innovation, technology, and emerging practices shaping the future of workforce development.

Exclusive Pre-Conference Sessions led by representatives from the U.S. Department of Labor, providing valuable technical assistance, federal updates, implementation guidance, and opportunities to engage directly with national leaders on current priorities and future direction.

Interactive breakout workshops featuring Department of Labor experts and respected practitioners delivering actionable tools, innovative models, operational improvements, and solutions that participants can immediately apply within their organizations and workforce systems.

Cross-agency collaboration with leaders from federal and state Departments of Labor and Education, workforce boards, community colleges, economic development organizations, community-based organizations, employers, and industry partners working together to improve alignment, strengthen partnerships, and expand opportunities for job seekers and employers.

Strategic peer-to-peer connection that encourages open dialogue around common challenges, successful innovations, funding opportunities, performance improvement, AI and technology integration, and scalable solutions that drive measurable results.

Meaningful networking and relationship-building that extends well beyond the conference, creating opportunities for collaboration, resource sharing, regional partnerships, and future initiatives.

Our Kentucky Derby-inspired theme celebrates preparation, strategy, and ex*****on because winning workforce systems are intentionally built. Success requires visionary leadership, strong partnerships, innovative thinking, and a shared commitment to preparing individuals, employers, and communities for long-term prosperity.

🎤 I’VE BEEN SELECTED!

When you’re wearing this many hats, you have to be intentional about what you say yes to.

So when I opened my email and saw that I’d officially been selected as the keynote speaker for the New Jersey Probation Education Conference, I couldn’t help but smile.

From my very first conversation with the planning team, I knew this was one of those opportunities that aligned with the mission of Speak4MC. It wasn’t just about giving another keynote. It was about equipping professionals who have some of the most important conversations every single day.

Thank you to the conference planning committee for trusting Speak4MC. I’m honored by the opportunity and can’t wait to be with you all.

New Jersey… I’ll see you soon.

When I worked as a case manager, one phrase I heard over and over was, “It takes a village.” After a while, it started to sound like a cliché.

One year ago today, we celebrated our adoption at Clearwater Threshers Baseball Stadium.

That day, we experienced it ourselves.

We were surrounded by our village—family, friends, community partners, and the people who walked beside us every step of the way.

Some phrases become clichés because they’re true.

It really does take a village.

Thank you for being ours. ❤️

Five years ago today, Speak4MC was created, and Mom was the first to know.

Our mission has always been the same: inspire change, lead with empathy, and disrupt the status quo.

We weren't going to do this the "normal way." No sales pitches. No cold calls. No quick fixes. Instead, we focused on building relationships, earning trust, and helping people believe that change is possible.

Looking back, I'm incredibly grateful. Thank you to every partner, organization, professional, friend, and family member who has been part of this journey. Your trust and support have made all the difference.

I truly feel blessed to be in a position where I get to do work I love while helping others grow.

Here's to the next chapter.

If I could offer one piece of advice to my younger self, or to anyone younger, it would be this:

You will face obstacles, adversity, and people who doubt you. But the battles that will have the greatest impact on who you ultimately become are the ones you fight within your own mind.

The voice that says, “Play it safe. Stay comfortable. Don’t take the chance. Be afraid.”

Or the voice that says, “Grow. Evolve. Put yourself out there.”

Yes, you’ll go up against other people throughout your life. But in the end, it is your own voice that will become your greatest strength or your greatest weakness.

Today we wrapped up an incredible two-day Motivational Interviewing training inspired by C.A.P.E. Conversations.

This wasn’t your typical training.

We had raffle tickets, door prizes, a leadership team icebreaker, friendly competitions, practical skill building, and even an awards ceremony to recognize the incredible work happening every day.

Most importantly, we spent two days practicing conversations that help people discover their own reasons for change.

I’m excited to continue this partnership over the next 12 months as we build these skills together and support one another along the way.

Because at the end of the day, change doesn’t start with a program.

Change starts with a conversation.
