Marshall & Wendell 5’1” Grand Paino #113996 Built in 1932 Plate states: Designed and built by Chickering & Sons. The piano is in very good condition and very well built. It is of high quality and good working order. Pins are tight and strings are generally in good shape considering the age. Hammers are original, in good condition and not badly grooved. The piano has not been played very hard. Dampers are in reasonable condition and fully functional, but they do show their age and might warrant refelting. The ivory keys are literally like new with no chips, a few extremely minor cracks and keytops are solidly attached. The action is in very good condition but could use a good cleaning. Fl**ge bushings are all reasonable tight. Back checks are in good condition. Pedals are in good condition but badly tarnished. Una Corda shifts well and dampers work well. Sostenuto needs regulating, only lifts some dampers. Soundboard has a significant crack through the middle. No noticeable buzzing at this time. Bridges are in good condition. Assumedly, the case has been refinished but is in good condition and nicely finished. Pick up in Moreland Hills for $5,000.
