First year, CSD graduate students are in the Dysphagia class with Dr. Violet Cox. They are practicing insertion of the transnasal endoscope for the fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of the swallow. The students are practicing these skills using high tech mannequins.

Hi Friends! We miss being on campus. Look at our beautiful clinic! It has been almost one year since we left full-time operation in the on-campus clinic to provide limited services on campus and transitioned to teletherapy!

Today is Giving Day at CSU. If you are able to, would you please go to the link below and donate to our Speech and Hearing Program. We have many, many families who receive therapy at no cost. In addition, several of our students are struggling to survive during this time of world wide crisis. Anything that you are able to donate would be appreciated.

The CSU NSSLHA Chapter earned national honors by earning Silver Chapter Honors from the NSSLHA Executive Council. Let me just tell the world how special the CSU NSSLHA (National Student Speech-Language Hearing Association) is!
In the middle of a global pandemic, this group raised $913 to buy 546 children's books. The books were taken to the Cleveland Kids Book Bank today. The books will be taken to food pantries around the Cleveland area for distribution.
Featured are Morgan Rittenberger, Carley Shermack, Emily Sternad and Avery Jester who are continuing to make the world a better place, while implementing recommended social distancing!

This is the graduating class of 2020 from the MA program in Speech-Language Pathology. Last night, we hosted a virtual awards ceremony on zoom. It was LOVELY! It is so difficult for all of us to work, teach and learn remotely during the social distancing that we are practicing due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Today, Brigette Wilson and Myrita Wilhite met with three of our amazing Graduate Assistants: Kacey Riga, Annie Canent, and Emilee Witt via Zoom. Below is our virtual meeting room on my computer screen. You can see by our smiles that we were thrilled to see one another.
