Why you shouldn’t think your aches and pains are normal as you age. 🚫

It’s common for people of all ages and backgrounds to suffer from aches and pains in their joints and bodies.

A variety of factors can lead to this, including stress, overworking the soft tissues and joints, injuries, and diseases and illnesses.

I often hear yoga students attribute their body aches and pains to their age, but that’s simply not true.

It’s not uncommon for young people to experience aches and pains too.

Age is just a number, and your aches and pains don’t have to define you!

Shifting your mindset is what you need to do. In order to heal, one must be active, not passive.

And healing often begins with your thoughts. What you think becomes your reality.

There is no need to use the term “hip opening”!😮

What does “hip opening” even mean?

A lot of the time, it is based entirely on passive stretching in order to increase hip mobility. But your hips need much more than passive stretches!

Rather than just focusing on stretching and mobility, it is time to think beyond those two factors.

Throughout my approach, I aim to help yoga practitioners understand the importance of hip stability and durability when it comes to practicing yoga.

It is important to build strength and durability in your hips in order to maintain effective movements in your daily life and to ensure that your joints are healthy and pain-free.
