This year, 2022, the Electric Cord Sets family celebrates our 75th anniversary! Founded in 1947 by my grandfather Wilbur Benbow of Bay Village Ohio, his dad, and associates in the Cleveland area, our company has stood the test of time; still making custom power cords for OEM’s from small mom and pop shops to large companies who’s products are known world-wide. We may not be a household name, but most households in America have one of our cords plugged into their wall, and that is something that we are very proud of!
ECS still remains a family owned and operated company spanning 5 generations with all of our shareholders, board members and most of our executive officers being direct descendants of the original founding partners. We offer most all NEMA configurations, international configurations, hospital grade, locking cords, and power cords and adaptors for the marine and RV industries. We work with several Asian partners, but we are proud to be Clevelanders and do much of our manufacturing right here at home at our 40,000 square foot facility in Cleveland Ohio.
