JR Productions- Media Technology Training Program The program is designed to provide hands on instruction for 10 students, 2 days per week, 4 hours each session.

The Media Technology program was created to educate high school students (grades 9 -12) in the field of Communications as well as to develop literacy and vocational skills toward our ever-increasing technological society. For 9 weeks students will experience the program’s 4 main areas of focus: Information Technology Systems, Web Design, Audio and Video Production. The goal of this program is to i

ncrease the awareness of media literacy and skill development in the field of communication and computer technology. Students will gain skills that will help build their confidence and give them the tools to be successful.

The Media Technology Program provides an opportunity for youth to express their feelings through visual arts. Each student produced a short-profile video covering the issues they felt were important in their own communities. Without the support from Neighborhood Connections and Foluke Cultural Arts Center, Inc. this program would not have been possible. Thank you!

The Media Technology Youth talk about drugs in their community, and how they can fix the problem. It was an opportunity for youth to share their experiences and it offered them a chance to discuss the topic. This is their own creative work.

Next week we will premier our student's video projects on Wednesday, June 29th at 4:30 pm. Students have produced videos on a variety of subjects including: drug & alcohol rehab, drunk driving, gang violence, and crime. These are all subjects that the students felt were important. Please come out and support them! Meet us at the Collinwood Community Center located at 813 E. 152nd St. Cleveland, OH 44110.
